Parents United of Hancock County, Ohio is chapter of a California based non-profit organization with 55 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Guam and Mexico. Parents United is a comprehensive program offering treatment to families and individuals who are dealing with the consequences of child sexual abuse.

GOALS OF PARENTS UNITED:
To provide peer support and sponsorship to victims and their families.
To educate the community on the effects of child sexual abuse.
To stop the cycle of child sexual abuse by building self-esteem and
responsibility taking, thereby creating a safe and healthy environment for our children.
To become better parents.
The essential components of a Parents United Program are:
Clinical, individual, dyadic and group therapy.
Services offered to adult victims & survivors, adult sexual abuse offenders, non-offending parents/
caregivers, and partners of adults molested as children.
A professionally guided self-help component that encourages program members to assist each other, raise funds, network with others, work to reduce child sexual abuse and its trauma, and empower members through shared responsibility and achievement.
Who can attend Parents United?
Anyone who has any child sexual abuse issues in their life, be they victims, parents, offenders or support
persons.
